You take a history

The stretcher is wheeled through to the resuscitation area of A+E. You ask the patient some questions while the nurse takes some observations.

You find out:

• His name is Andrew Sampson.

• He is 24 years old.

• Not on any medication.

• Admitted for an appendix operation when he was 7 years old.

• He tells you that his right leg and abdomen are very painful.
