OA Case

Patient history

I.D.:

63-year-old female referred for (L) knee OA.

HPI:

Began experiencing (L) knee (P) approximately 2 years ago.  Consulted her family physician at that point in time and had x-rays taken revealing OA of the (L) knee.  Symptoms were well managed with Naprosyn for about 1 year at which point both the frequency and intensity of the (P) have increased.  Symptoms have increased significantly over the past month, resulting in a limp and necessitating a return visit to the family physician.  She has been advised to continue with the Naprosyn and has been referred to physiotherapy and orthopaedics.
