STARTThis demo map was written to provide some tips about writing cases with true decisions that matter. There are a number of pitfalls for early authors, creating maps that don't have effective branching. Branching cases are potentially more powerful than linear cases but only if you make good decision points. While any algorithmic pathway can be converted into an OpenLabyrinth map, just trudging through a set of steps where the decision on where to go next is limited or obvious is not very interesting for learners. Take a look at [Decisions, not steps] for an example of what we mean. Then take a look at some of the other issues that should be considered in creating good decision points. |
