IntroductionWe are interested in how you handle repetitive daily tasks. We are about to present you with a series of investigation results that have come in to your Electronic Medical Record. Situation: this is a primary care outpatient clinic. You are not working fee-for-service so you can base your decisions entirely on good patient care, without having to worry about how many patients you need to recall or see in a day. There is quite a bit of pressure here because it is going to be a busy day and you need to get these done before you see your first patient, which is only a few minutes away. How to Play: once you start with Case 1, the timer will start running. You have less than 30 seconds to deal with each case and it gets worse with each case. The timed pages have an orange background. You can choose one of the following actions for each case.
DO NOT RETURN TO PREVIOUS CASES. This is tracked and may disqualify your participation. If you skip a case, it does not give you extra time for the following case. And you cannot go back to skipped cases. There is a table of normal results - this is available on each node, or you can leave it open on the side. |
