Presenting complaint

You are a GP. You have been asked to visit a local residential home to see a number of patients.

The nurses ask you to see Mr Derek Bryant. He is a 71 year old man.

The nurses tell you that he has taken to his bed for the last few days.

He refuses to mobilise around the home or take part in any of the activities as he would do normally.
