Valsalva maneuvre

Vagal maneuver for treatment of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT)  in hemodynamically stable patient.

Patient with supraventricular tachycardia - presents as fast heart rate. 

Vagal maneuver can be used as first-line manageement tool in emergency medicine for reversion of supraventricular tachycardia. 

Exclude adverse signs:

syncope

shock

cardiac failure

myocard ischemia

If the patient is stable with no adverse sign present, we can start treatment of SVT with vagal maneuvre.
