Calgary Ubiquitous Rural Informed Online Services

This series of videos is part of our CURIOS series.

We wanted to illustrate a clinical procedure, laryngoscopy, that is accessible to a wide range of clinicians but rarely practised because:

  • it is fiddly to learn
  • you don't see much over the instructor's shoulder
  • it does not happen that often so you may not encounter it on your rotations as a learner

As with other procedures, there are many, many videos out there on YouTube. But the quality is so variable. So this mashup is partly to teach you about laryngoscopy, and partly to show you how this mashup approach is useful in curating the best video material out there.

Enjoy!
